Tyrell Jenkins pitches six shutout innings for Gwinnett

April 27, 2016On the same night the Atlanta Braves gave up 11 runs, one of their top pitching prospects, Tyrell Jenkins, pitched six shutout innings in the Gwinnett Braves' 3-1 International League victory over host Toledo.
The Braves (11-9) ended a six-game skid with the Tuesday night win.
Jenkins (2-1) allowed five hits. He walked two and struck out three. Jenkins has a 1.71 ERA this season.
David Peterson allowed one hit in 1 1/3 innings and earned a save.
Emilio Bonifacio led the G-Braves offensively. He went 2-for-4, scored two runs, and had an RBI. Reid Brignac went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
