Braves fans with tickets to Sunday’s game won’t have to miss the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony featuring greats Bobby Cox, Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine.

The gates to Turner Field will open at 1 p.m. and the ceremony will be shown on the stadium scoreboard starting at 1:30 p.m.

The Braves host the Padres in a 5:05 p.m. start following the ceremony expected to last about three hours.

Fans in attendance will receive a commemorative poster featuring all newest Braves Hall of Famers.

“We get to see it a little bit,” Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. “What a special day. I wish somehow we could have had that day off as a team to go over there.”

Cox and Glavine have been at Turner Field recently. Gonzalez said he could see the anticipation building for the career-defining day.

“He is getting a little jittery,” Gonzalez said of Cox. “Who wouldn’t, right? I think the speech is going to be the hardest part. I heard him and Tom (Glavine) talking about it. I’m excited for him. I’m nervous for him.”
