When: 7:10 p.m.

TV; radio: SPSO; 680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Matt Wisler (5-8, 5.63) vs. RH Logan Verrett (1-0, 1.91)

What's new: The Mets clarified that the rookie Verrett will start Tuesday in place of Jacob deGrom, who is getting a few extra days rest after he has endured a rough five-game stretch (6.41 ERA). The veteran Bartolo Colon, who is 4-0 against the Braves this season, will pitch the series finale on Wednesday. Christian Bethancourt is day-to-day with a bruised thumb, which he suffered making a tag in the ninth inning Sunday against the Phillies. His replacement A.J. Pierzynski, who drove in the game-winning run on Sunday, entered the Mets series batting .316 (61-for-193) since July 1, second-best among qualifying catchers (minimum 180 at-bats.)
