What's new: Maybin walked in his second at-bat Wednesday in San Diego to make that 12 straight games that he has reached base. Adonis Garcia has picked off three runners off first base in the past two games after first fielding a line drive at third base. Nick Markakis was kept in check by the Cubs during their series in Atlanta last month, going 1-for-12 in the series. The Braves dropped two of three in that series coming out of the All-Star break, including the series finale to Arrieta.
