Dansby Swanson and Josh Donaldson are set to make their spring training debuts for the Braves in Friday’s game against the Blue Jays.

Swanson is ahead of schedule in his recovery from offseason wrist surgery. The team plans for him to play four or so games in a week’s span, and if he passes that test, he’ll be back in regular routine.

The Braves are taking a safe approach with Donaldson, who was limited to 52 games last season with shoulder and calf injuries. He’s healthy and fully participated in camp.

“He’s been hitting live, he’s been doing the defensive work, all the running,” manager Brian Snitker said. “We’re just going to make sure with him.”

In other lineup news, Ronald Acuna and Ozzie Albies will get Tuesday off versus the Mets after playing consecutive days. Freddie Freeman and Ender Inciarte are expected to play after making their debuts Monday.

Veteran Nick Markakis likely won’t play in a game until the end of the week or early next week, Snitker said. The Braves meet with their players weekly to map out a plan for playing time.
