Pitcher Shae Simmons made his fourth rehab start for the Gwinnett Braves Wednesday night.

Simmons, scheduled to pitch just one inning as he recovers from elbow surgery, issued a walk but catcher Anthony Recker threw out the baserunner to end the scoreless inning.

Simmons hasn’t allowed a run in four innings with Gwinnett this season. He's fanned eight.

Matt Tuiasosopo doubled three times and the Braves (26-34) held on for a 3-1 victory over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coolray Field.

Gwinnett ended a seven-game losing streak.

Joel De La Cruz followed Simmons to the mound and pitched five innings, allowing just three hits and a walk while striking out three in his longest outing of the season.
