Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Williams Perez (2-0, 2.70) vs. RH Rick Porcello (4-6, 5.26)
Comment: Perez has pitched seven innings in two of his past three starts to claim the first two wins of his major league career. He gave up four earned runs in five innings to the Pirates in between those two, but it was the only blip in Perez's first five major league performances. He's given up one or no runs in the other four while showing uncanny confidence for a rookie on the mound. Porcello is on a four-game losing streak, having allowed 20 runs in 24 2/3 innings for a 7.30 ERA over that span.

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (4-2, 4.78) vs. LH Wade Miley (5-6, 5.07)
Comment: Teheran has pitched into the eighth inning in each of his past two starts with a two-run lead, and come away with a no-decision both times after the bullpen lost his leads. But in general, Teheran is looking like a different pitcher of late. His four-seam fastball velocity it up, his slider is sharp, and he's not so reliant on an inconsistent sinker. Miley has made amends with manager John Farrell after a dugout argument when he was pulled his last time out. Now he's looking to make them on the mound, where Miley has given up five earned runs and lasted only four innings in two of his past three outings.
