Where: Turner Field

When: 7:15 p.m.

TV/Radio: Fox/680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (4-2, 4.87) vs. LH Jeff Locke (3-3, 5.34)

What's new: The Braves have faced Locke, their former farmhand, four times with the Pirates, but the most any of their current players have faced him is nine at-bats — both by Chris Johnson and Andrelton Simmons. Johnson was leading the Braves with a .471 average against lefties entering the series, albeit in limited action (8-for-17). Nick Markakis, a left-hander, is one of the Braves' best hitters against lefties. Markakis has hit .310 (18-for-58) against lefties this season, compared with .305 against right-handers. Teheran is 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in four games (three starts) against the Pirates for his career, but then again, he hasn't been pitching like himself these days. Andrew McCutchen, one of the Pirates' hottest hitters over the past month, is 4-for-9 (.444) with a double and a homer in his career off Teheran.
