The Braves captured the National League East with a remarkable season that was imagined by few. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution asked several players to share their favorite moments from the season. Today, All-Star outfielder Nick Markakis shares his thoughts on what made the 2018 season so special.

“There’s a couple (of top moments). But the overall big picture throughout the season is more memorable.”

“We’ve had our ups and downs throughout the season, both good and bad. But overall, in general, the way the guys prepare themselves for each game and go about their business is the most important thing.

“It’s translated to success and wins on the field.”
