How the winning run scored: Bryce Brentz's two-out single to left scored Justin Henry (3-for-4, two runs scored) in the fifth inning. The hit gave Pawtucket a 4-1 lead over visiting Gwinnett on Tuesday night.

At the plate: Jason Heyward was 2-f0r-3 (both singles) with a walk, a stolen base and two RBIs. Heyward played right field as his rehab assignment for the Atlanta Braves continued. Matt Pagnozzi was 2-for-2 with a run scored for the G-Braves, and Brandon Boggs hit a solo homer in the fourth.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Sean Gilmartin (2-2) allowed three runs (all in the first two innings) on five hits in four innings pitched. He struck out five and walked two.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (14-26) and the Red Sox (24-15) meet for the third game of their four-game series at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday in Pawtucket, R.I. Gwinnett right-hander Tim Corcoran (1-3, 3.48 ERA) is scheduled to start against Pawtucket righty Steven Wright (2-1, 2.57).
