A recap of the Braves’ loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday at PNC Park.

How the game was won: The Pirates roughed up Braves starter Julio Teheran early and went on to an 8-4 victory. The Braves lost their fifth consecutive game and will look to avoid the sweep on Sunday. Teheran gave up five hits and five runs in the first inning. The Braves got to Pirates starter Charlie Morton for three runs in the seventh inning to pull within two runs but Pittsburgh added two runs in the bottom of the inning to extend the lead.

Number: 6-12. Braves' record in three-game series this season.

Next: The Braves play the Pirates at 1:35 p.m. Sunday on Fox Sports South. LHP Alex Wood (4-5, 3.44 ERA) faces LHP Jeff Locke (4-3, 4.73 ERA).
