Ozzie Albies has a hitting streak going for Double-A Mississippi.

After going 0-for-4 in the season opener with two strikeouts, Albies has hit in six consecutive games through Wednesday, hitting .385 (10-for-26) in those games.

During the streak, he has scored three runs, doubled once, walked once and stolen a base — and only two strikeouts.

Albies has committed one error, but has taken part in five double plays in the seven games this season.

The 5-foot-9 shortstop from Curacao turned 19 in January. In spring training with the Braves, he hit .371 with a .421 on-base percentage and a .907 OPS in 16 games. He also hit a home run and had five RBIs.
