Must-see: Freddie Freeman’s line-drive snag

Freddie Freeman made his 11th start at third base (since transitioning from first on July 4) Monday in Arizona.

Freeman’s defensive prowess at first was well known. At third, it’s getting there.

In the bottom of the fourth, the Diamondbacks’ A.J. Pollock stepped up to the plate with 2 outs and a man on first. Pollock slapped R.A. Dickey’s fifth pitch -- an 83-mph fastball -- up the third-base line, which an out-stretched Freeman snagged like it was a slow pop-up.

According to MLB’s Statcast, Pollock’s shot left the bat at 95 mph.

Freeman’s skills left some impressed.
