In not-so-shocking news, Max Fried will make his next scheduled start in the Braves’ rotation. The lefty’s next outing is set for Denver.

Fried pitched six marvelous innings in Thursday’s win over the Cubs. He achieved perfection in 5-2/3 of those frames.

“He’ll pitch, absolutely,” manager Brian Snitker sufficiently said when asked if Fried would make his next turn. Despite Fried’s brilliance, it was a worthy question given how the Braves shuffle their starters.

Injuries and ill-timed circumstance has presented Fried from solidifying a spot in the majors. He’s accrued a 2.54 ERA across 10 career starts, and posted a 3.80 ERA in 16 relief appearances.
