After pitching six solid innings during a rehabilitation outing, the Braves' Jair Jurrjens is on track to make his first start of the season Saturday against the Mets.

After pitching six solid innings during a rehabilitation outing, the Braves' Jair Jurrjens is on track to make his first start of the season Saturday against the Mets.

Monday's Triple-A start was the first game action for Jurrjens since March 24, when a strained right oblique forced him to leave a spring training game against the Blue Jays after one inning.

In 2010, Jurrjens was 7-6 with a 4.64 ERA in 20 starts. He won 27 games in his first two full seasons and posted the league's third-best ERA (2.60) in 2009.

Jurrjens is ready to rejoin a Braves rotation that includes Tim Hudson, Tommy Hanson and Derek Lowe. "I'm really excited to get on the mound and try to help this team and be part of the team again, Jurrjens said.
