After they were shut out for the first time this season Monday night, the once-hot Braves bats will try to rekindle tonight at the Nationals.

The Braves averaged 8.0 runs per game for the first seven games, but have scored six over the past three. The Braves’ past three runs scored via solo home runs Sunday at Coors Field by Nick Markakis, Dansby Swanson and Ozzie Albies.

The Braves (6-4) will send Mike Foltynewicz (1-0, 2.61 ERA) to the mound for his third start of the season and his eighth career start against Washington. He is 3-2 with a 5.06 ERA all-time against the Nationals (5-5), but pitched 5-1/3 innings and allowed one run against them April 4. He struck out eight, walked two and allowed four hits in the Braves’ 7-1 win that day at SunTrust Park.

The Braves will face a starter who has struggled against them in recent outings. Stephen Strasburg allowed six runs in each of his past two starts against the Braves. His ERA is 9.19 over his past four games against them.
