How to watch the Braves on Monday: Time, TV, starting pitchers

Brandon McCarthy was healthy this spring after battling injuries for much of his last season with the Dodgers. McCarthy's best outing was his most recent one. In six innings against Detroit, he allowed one run on five hits and struck out four. He has recorded eight strikeouts and has a WHIP of 0.79. McCarthy has allowed a .196 opponents' batting average. McCarthy has allowed nine hits, including two home runs and two doubles.

The Braves broke camp Sunday, leaving behind Florida and Disney’s Wide World of Sports. Up next is a Monday night exhibition game at SunTrust Park against the Yankees.

Right-hander Brandon McCarthy will make his final spring-training start before he faces the Phillies later in the week. In three starts this spring, McCarthy is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA. He has allowed two earned runs in 12-2/3 innings and has struck out eight batters and walked one. Opponents are hitting .196 against him.
