After a thrilling finish to the season opener, the Braves will face the Phillies again Friday at SunTrust Park.

The Braves overcame a 5-0 deficit Thursday to win 8-5 when Nick Markakis hit a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. Mike Foltynewicz will take the mound for the Braves, hoping to perform more like the Foltynewicz who didn’t allow a run in his first 14 innings of spring training than the one who gave up six runs and eight hits in two innings Sunday against the Tigers in Lakeland, Fla.

The Phillies will counter with Nick Pivetta as their starting pitcher. Pivetta made his big-league debut last April and was 8-10 last season with a 6.02 ERA. Freddie Freeman has produced the most success against Pivetta. He is 4-for-7 (.571).
