The Gwinnett Braves scored two runs in the 11th inning to defeat host Norfolk 7-5 Thursday afternoon.

The first two batters in the inning, Dan Nelson and Wilkin Ramirez, reached on singles. A sacrifice bunt by Wilkin Castillo moved the runners into scoring position, and Nelson scored the go-ahead run on a one-out groundout by Jose Constanza.

Ramirez moved to third on the play, and he scored on a wild pitch to the next batter, Jordan Schafer.

The big bats for the G-Braves (9-5) belonged to Schafer and Mauro Gomez. Both were 3-for-5 and scored a run.

Gwinnett held a 5-1 lead after four innings, but Norfolk tied the game with three runs in the seventh. Josh Bell drove home two runs with a double and later scored on a sacrifice fly.

G-Braves starter Todd Redmond pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing nine hits and two runs. He struck out seven and walked one. Jose Lugo pitched one inning of relief for the win.
