Braves starter Tyrell Jenkins allowed two runs in the first inning and one in the second and Gwinnett fell 3-0 to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in Game 3 of the Governors’ Cup Championship Series on Thursday night in Lawrenceville.

The G-Braves trail the best-of-five series 2-1 and must win consecutive home games to win the Governors’ Cup.

Jenkins pitched five innings, allowing four hits. He walked four and struck out six.

Mel Rojas Jr. had two of Gwinnett’s five hits. The G-Braves went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base.

The teams play Game 4 Friday at 7:05 p.m. at Coolray Field. Rob Wooten will start for Gwinnett.
