Braves righthander Mike Soroka has been one of the best pitchers in the National League during the last month of play.

Mike Soroka hasn’t just been good for the Atlanta Braves this season, he’s been historically good.

The 21-year-old righthander is 5-1 with a 1.01 earned-run average, including Monday's one-run, two-hit performance in a 4-1 win over the Giants. Soroka is the first Braves starter in the live-ball era (since 1920) to open his season with seven consecutive starts of one earned run or less.
