Breaking down Mike Soroka’s historic start
By AJC Sports
May 22, 2019Mike Soroka hasn’t just been good for the Atlanta Braves this season, he’s been historically good.
The 21-year-old righthander is 5-1 with a 1.01 earned-run average, including Monday's one-run, two-hit performance in a 4-1 win over the Giants. Soroka is the first Braves starter in the live-ball era (since 1920) to open his season with seven consecutive starts of one earned run or less.
