The Braves eventually would like to see young pitchers Matt Wisler and Aaron Blair back with the big-league club but they’ve had some uneven results recently at Triple-A Gwinnett.

“We are keeping an eye on those guys,” Braves interim manager Brian Snitker said. “I wish they’d both get on a roll but it is what it is.”

Blair started the second game of a doubleheader for Gwinnett on Friday and lasted just two innings while allowing five earned runs, including a grand slam. He’s got a 6.04 ERA in eight starts since the Braves demoted him.

“He said he felt good and all of that but you are kind of looking for better results,” Snitker said.

Blair began the season as one of the top-rated pitching prospects in the organization. He made his major-league debut on April 24 but struggled during two separate stints with the big-league club.

Wisler started the first game of the doubleheader for Gwinnett and gave up five runs (three earned) over seven innings. In four starts since the Braves demoted him Wisler has a 3.71 ERA with 22 strikeouts and five walks over 26 2/3 innings.

Wisler showed big-league promise early and late during his rookie season of 2015 and over the first two months of this season before fading.
