Stephen Strasburg, Wednesday’s scheduled starter for the Nationals, made two starts against the Braves last season, (a 3-1 Nationals victory June 23 and a 3-0 Nationals victory Oct. 1) and pitched 11 innings. He struck out 13 and allowed 10 hits, with one extra-base hit.

Half the hits were by either Nick Markakis or Adonis Garcia. The other five were by players no longer on the team.

Eury Perez had the double, in the first outing.

Markakis had three of the singles. The others were by Garcia (2), Cameron Maybin (2), Chris Johnson and Andrelton Simmons.

Of the 13 strikeouts, 10 were by players not on the current active roster.

The strikeout victims: Jace Peterson (three times), Nick Swisher (2), Ryan Weber (2), Christian Bethancourt, Michael Bourn, Chris Johnson, Cameron Maybin, Juan Uribe and Alex Wood.
