The Braves announced their 25-man roster Thursday morning in advance of the season opener at Philadelphia.
Four players will begin the season on the 10-day injured list, the new name of the disabled list. They are right-handed pitcher Mike Foltynewicz (right elbow bone spur), RHP Kevin Gausman (right shoulder tendinitis), lefty A.J. Minter (left shoulder inflammation) and RHP Darren O'Day (right forearm strain).
All were placed on the injured list retroactive to March 25.
The Braves also added pitcher Josh Tomlin and outfielder Matt Joyce to the 40-man roster and designated catcher Raffy Lopez for assignment, which takes him off the 40-man.
First pitch for the Braves-Phillies game is set for 3:05 p.m. on Fox Sports Southeast. Julio Teheran is scheduled to start for the Braves, his franchise record-tying sixth consecutive opening-day start, against RHP Aaron Nola.
The final roster includes 13 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders and four outfielders.
Rookie right-handers Wes Parsons, Chad Sobotka, Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright are among nine players on their first opening-day roster. The other five are LHP Jesse Biddle, LHP Max Fried, RHP Luke Jackson, INF Johan Camargo and OF Ronald Acuña.
