A recap of the Braves’ victory against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday at Turner Field.

How the game was won: Kelly Johnson's two-run homer in the fifth inning lifted the Braves to a 4-3 victory and got rookie Mike Foltynewicz the win in his first career start. Foltynewicz allowed three runs (two earned) over five innings and also had a two-run double in fourth inning for his first career hit. The Braves' bullpen pitched four scoreless innings to secure the victory and end their losing streak at three games.

Number: 13. Consecutive games with a hit for Braves catcher A.J. Pierzynski, who has a hit in every game he's played this season. He has the longest active hitting streak in the majors.

Next: The Braves play the Reds at 7:10 p.m. Saturday on Fox Sports 1. Eric Stults (1-1, 4.03 ERA) faces Jason Marquis (2-1, 5.48).
