Add another highlight to the long list being compiled by the Braves’ highly acclaimed pitching prospects.

Right-hander Jasseel De La Cruz, 21, threw a no-hitter for the Braves’ Class A-Advanced affiliate, the Florida Fire Frogs, on Saturday night.

De La Cruz, ranked the Braves' No. 25 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline, needed just 89 pitches, 54 of them strikes, to complete the first no-hitter in Fire Frogs history. He walked two, the only batters to reach base against him, and struck out four as Florida defeated the Jupiter  Hammerheads 12-0 in a Florida State League game at Osceola County Stadium in Kissimmee, Fla.

De La Cruz, from the Dominican Republic, has been in the Braves’ organization since 2015. He opened this season at Single-A Rome, where he had a 2.50 ERA in four starts before being promoted to Florida on April 24. With the Fire Frogs, he has a 1.93 ERA over four starts, with seven walks and 26 strikeouts in 28 innings.
