Ozzie Albies’ seventh-inning homer in Friday’s win over the Nationals was the Braves’ 235th blast this season, tying the franchise record set in 2003.

With a homer Saturday, the 2019 Braves would become (statistically) the best sluggers in franchise history. The Braves ranked second among National League teams in homers, trailing the Dodgers (261).

The Braves could also set a new franchise mark in homers away from home. They’ve hit 112 blasts on the road, needing 13 more to set a record. These Braves already own the franchise home mark, hammered 123 long balls to best the 1996 club’s 119.
