The Braves beat the  Marlins 6-5 Friday. Here are 6 things to know from the box score:

1. The Braves are 5-13. They moved out of last place in the NL, passing the 4-11 Padres.

2. Right fielder Nick Markakis struck out twice in three at-bats and is hitting only .227.

3. Lefty reliever Alex Torres pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings and still has a 0.00 ERA after 6 1/3 innings this spring.

4. Reid Brignac started at third but also got some time at shortstop. He had another RBI, increasing his spring total to 7. That ties Freddie Freeman for the team lead.

5. Braves starter Matt Wisler gave up two earned runs but went four innings. He has a 3.12 spring ERA.

6. Jeff Francoeur played left field and went 1-for-2 at the plate to up his average to .294.

7. Jace Peterson's average dropped to .172 after he went 0-for-2.
