Braves manager Brian Snitker might move a little more slowly when making pitching changes because of tendinitis in his right Achilles heel.

“That’s the worst part,” Snitker said Friday. “You sit there and you are not moving, and then you’ve got to get up and go and it’s like, ‘God dang, I thought it’s supposed to feel better.’ That’s why I try to move around (in the dugout) and keep the blood flowing.”

Snitker said the sore Achilles tendon makes it difficult for him to walk. He was wearing a walking boot when he arrived for his pregame session with reporters Friday. Snitker said he would switch to a shoe when he assumes his managerial duties for games.

“I’m OK,” he said. “Play through it.”
