Braves center fielder Ender Inciarte has progressed to getting at-bats in extended spring training games at the team’s facility in Florida as he rehabilitates from a hamstring injury. The plan is for Inciarte to ramp up his running program soon in preparation for a possible return within the next two weeks.
Inciarte suffered a strained right hamstring while running to first base on April 8 and was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 9. In three games with the Braves he’s hit .250 with a .400 on-base percentage while making a handful of good plays in the field.
Rookie Mallex Smith has been the regular center fielder in Inciarte's absence.
