The Braves made a few moves to finalize their 25-man roster Sunday and also completed an earlier trade by officially receiving a draft pick from the Diamondbacks.

They moved left-hander Josh Outman to the 60-day disabled list with thoracic outlet syndrome, and recalled right-handed reliever Brandon Cunniff from Triple-A Gwinnett to round out the bullpen.

Also, outfielder Carlos Quentin was designated for assignment, as expected, after being included by the Padres in the six-player trade Sunday that sent Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton Jr. to San Diego.

Outman complained of pain near his left collarbone and shoulder during spring training and was shut down and sent to see a specialist, who diagnosed the ailment. Outman is among those who were born with an extra rib, and surgery could be recommended to remove it in order to continue pitching without a likely recurrence.

It’s not known when or even if he’ll pitch for the Braves this season.

The Braves also received the Diamondbacks’ Competitive Balance Round B pick (75th overall) in the 2015 June draft in exchange for minor league outfielder Victor Reyes, a transaction that was actually part of the trade last week for starting pitcher Trevor Cahill.

The Braves now have five of the first 75 pickes in this year’s draft, selections 14, 28, 41, 54 and 75.
