How the winning run scored: Ernesto Mejia's one-out double, his 35th of the season, drove home Todd Cunningham and Phil Gosselin in the sixth inning to give Gwinnett a 3-0 lead over visiting Durham. The G-Braves scored five in the inning, which featured a double steal by Jose Constanza and Cunningham.

At the plate: Mejia was 3-for-4 with two doubles and the two RBIs. Stefan Gartrell was 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the sixth.

On the mound: Gwinnett starter Kameron Loe gave up no runs in five innings. He allowed four hits and walked a batter and struck out four. Yohan Flande (9-7) pitched four innings, allowing one runs on two hits and striking out five.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (58-83) begin their final series of the season, on the road against Charlotte, at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Probable starters are Gwinnett right-hander Freddy Garcia (8-4, 3.56 ERA) against lefty Charlie Leesman (4-3, 3.87).
