How the winning run scored: Joe Leonard's one-out double in the fourth inning drove home Stefan Gartrell and Alden Carrithers to give Gwinnett a 3-1 lead over host Durham on Tuesday night.

At the plate: Leonard was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and teammates Ernesto Mejia and Tyler Pastornicky each had two hits. Mejia's hit was a double, the game's only extra-base hit other than Leonard's double, that drove home Pastornicky in the first.

On the mound: Gwinnett starter Yohan Flande (5-6) lasted six innings and allowed one run (unearned) on four hits and a walk. He struck out two. Durham starter Jake Odorizzi (7-4) gave up four runs on seven hits in four innings.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (45-59) and the Bulls (65-39) continue their series at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday. Right-hander Brandon Beachy, on a rehab assignment from the Atlanta Braves, is scheduled to start for Gwinnett against left-hander Mike Montgomery.
