How the winning run scored: In the top of the ninth, Gwinnett leadoff hitter Todd Cunningham reached first on a bunt. After Ernesto Mejia flew out to left, with Joey Terdoslavich at the plate, Cunningham advanced to second on a passed ball and scored the only run when Terdoslavich singled to left. Terdoslavich stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch, but he was stranded there.

At the plate: Terdoslavich (2-for-4) was the only batter for either team who had multiple hits. Corey Wimberly and Terdoslavich each had a double, the game's only extra-base hits. Louisville had only three singles.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Daniel Rodriguez struck out eight batters in 6 1/3 innings. He allowed three hits and walked three, but no runs. Cory Rasmus retired all three batters in the ninth to record his fourth save.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (11-11) and the Bats (10-11) conclude their series at 6:35 p.m. Friday. Gwinnett's scheduled starter is left-hander Sean Gilmartin (1-0, 2.86 ERA).
