How the winning run scored: Trailing 2-1 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, host Louisville began a rally that was capped by Konrad Schmidt's single to right field that drove home Henry Rodriguez with the tying run and Emmanuel Burriss with the winning run. Rodriguez and Burriss singled in consecutive bats after Gwinnett reliever Andrew Russell retired the first two batters of the inning.

At the plate: Joey Terdoslavich, Matt Pagnozzi and Sean Kazmar each was 2-for-4 for the G-Braves. Terdoslavich's solo homer in the fourth produced Gwinnett's first run and his 14th RBI of the season. Pagnozzi drove in the G-Braves' second run with a homer in the seventh. Rodriguez was 3-for-4, all singles.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Tim Corcoran gave up one run in seven innings.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (10-10) and the Bats (9-10) continue their four-game series in Louisville at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday. Right-hander Omar Poveda (1-0, 2.00) is scheduled to pitch for Gwinnett.
