Bartolo Colon, aka “Big Sexy,” is getting ready for his Braves debut.

The 43-year-old right-hander, who signed a one-year, $12.5 million deal with Atlanta in November, is listed at 5-foot-11 and 285 pounds.

This offseason, he appears to be working to slim down.

In a video posted to Twitter by MLB.com reporter Jesse Sanchez,  Colon - wearing a "Bartbino" T-shirt - does some resistance band exercises in his native Dominican Republic

Colon's weight came into question last year with the New York Mets. He was asked by the New York Post in 2015 if he had thought about watching his waist line:

Q: Did any team or manager ever ask you to lose weight? Did you ever think you needed to lose weight or have you always been comfortable at your current weight?
A: I've always worked hard to do my job well, and everyone has always let me be myself.

The caption on the video references Colon’s chase to catch Juan Marichal for most wins by a pitcher from the Dominican Republic. Colon is 11 wins away from the surpassing 243 wins in his career.

Bix Sexy means business in 2017.

The video ends with Colon saying is Spanish, “This is for the people of Atlanta.”
