Braves' top pitching prospect Tommy Hanson made his major league debut Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers at Turner Field.

Braves shortstop Yunel Escobar rounds third on his way to score in the first inning.

Braves made room on the roster for Hanson by placing first baseman Casey Kotchman on the disabled list.

Chipper Jones smashed a two-out, solo home run (his sixth on the season) to left center in the third to give the Braves a two-run lead. Chipper went yard again in the fifth for a three-run homer.

Tommy Hanson retired the first 10 batters he faced. The rookie right-hander gave up six hits and seven runs, six earned, in six innings.
