Ezequiel Barco’s agent has confirmed that the player will join Atlanta United.

The website Marca.com reported the news on Sunday. Atlanta United officials declined to comment.

Barco, 18, is considered one of the top young talents in the world. He plays attacking midfielder for Independiente in Argentina.

The agent said the transfer fee from Atlanta United to Independiente is $15 million.

Barco has made 38 appearances for Independiente with five goals. He recently helped the club win the Copa Sudamericana tournament.
