Atlanta United will be the opponent for Chicago’s opening game in Soldier Field on March 21.

The game was announced Tuesday as part of a larger announcement about the MLS team’s move from Bridgeview to near downtown Chicago.

The MLS typically releases a small part of next season’s schedule in December, with a full release in January.

Chicago’s average attendance of 12,324 was the lowest in MLS this season.
