Atlanta United’s starting 11 for Sunday’s game against NYCFC at Yankee Stadium:

Goalkeeper Alec Kann

Right fullback Tyrone Mears

Centerhalf Michael Parkhurst

Centerhalf Leandro Gonzalez Pirez

Left fullback Greg Garza

Holding midfielder Jeff Larentowicz

Midfielder Carlos Carmona

Attacking midfielder Julian Gressel

Right midfielder Hector Villalba

Left midfielder Miguel Almiron

Striker Kenwyne Jones

The remaining 18 are Alex Tambakis, Harrison Heath, Chris McCann, Anton Walkes, Brandon Vazquez and Mikey Ambrose.

This lineup includes nine of the 11 players who started last week’s 3-1 loss to D.C. United at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The differences are the red-card suspension of Yamil Asad forced manager Gerardo Martino to move Almiron from the center to the left, into Asad’s spot.

That forced moving Gressel higher up the pitch. Jeff Larentowicz, how missesd last week’s game because of a concussion sustained two weeks ago in the 3-1 win at Real Salt Lake, is back in the starting lineup at the holding midfielder role.
