My choice for Men of the Match for following Atlanta United’s 1-0 win against Minnesota United on Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium:

THE FANS

Why? More than 18,000 tickets were sold or distributed for the game. It was 21 degrees in Minneapolis at the start of Atlanta United's game at Minnesota United on Saturday, according to weather.com. The wind ripped through the stadium, but throughout the game the Loons’ fans stood, chanted, waived white towels, or hit drums.

Some of Atlanta United’s players said smiles were frozen to their faces it was so cold.

Last year, it was 19 degrees for the start of Atlanta United’s game at Minnesota. That set an MLS record.
