Atlanta United will face Costa Rica team Herediano in the round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions League.

The tournament draw was held Monday in Miami.

Atlanta United will play Herediano in the first leg. The return leg will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Only a window of dates (Feb. 20-27) have been announced. Exact dates and times are expected to announced in the coming days.

The winners will advance to play the winner of the games between Alianza (El Salvador) and Monterrey (Mexico). Those games have a window of March 6-13.

Atlanta United qualified for the tournament, which consists of teams from North America, Central American and the Caribbean, by finishing with the most points in MLS from the 2017 and ’18 seasons.

Herediano has participated in the tournament eight times. It made it to the semifinals in 2014-15.

Fifteen clubs qualified for the tournament: Alianza FC (El Salvador), Atlanta United FC, Atletico Pantoja (Dominican Republic), CD Guastatoya (Guatemala), CD Marathon (Honduras), CF Monterrey (Mexico), Club Deportivo Toluca (Mexico), CS Herediano (Costa Rica), Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica), Houston Dynamo, Independiente FC (Panama), Santos Laguna (Mexico), Sporting Kansas City, Tigres UANL (Mexico) and Toronto FC. Either Portland or New York Red Bulls will round out the field.
