The upper deck of Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be open for Sunday’s MLS playoff game between Atlanta United and New York Red Bulls, giving the Five Stripes a chance to break the attendance record it set more than a week ago against NYCFC.

Tickets sold and distributed of 70,526 for that game on Nov. 11 was the most for an MLS playoff game since the league began play in 1996.

It broke the total of 66,221 set by the team for its playoff game against Columbus during the 2017 season.

In addition to the playoff attendance records, Atlanta United has the seven most-attended MLS games during the history of the regular season.

Atlanta United has sold and distributed more than 1 million tickets to its home games this season.
