Atlanta United midfielder Ezequiel Barco will likely miss the first 4-6 weeks of the MLS season after sustaining a right quad injury during Tuesday’s training session at the team’s facility in Marietta.

Barco, 18, is the most expensive transfer in MLS history after Atlanta United paid a reported $15 million to Independiente for his rights. Barco scored one goal in three appearances during the preseason. Atlanta United will open its second season at Houston on Saturday.
