The Atlanta Track Club has acquired the Publix Georgia Marathon and Half Marathon from Life Time to add to its more than 30 running events and programs, the club announced Tuesday.

The Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon, in its 10th running, is scheduled for Sunday, March, 20, 2016, in Atlanta.

The race began in 2007 with more than 17,000 participants. Both races will remain under the Atlanta Track Club, which manages the AJC Peachtree Road Race on July 4th. The club also hosts the Thanksgiving Day Marathon in Atlanta.

The club will evaluate the courses and could announce changes. The first change to race day is the cancellation of the Luckie 5K. All registrants of the 2016 Luckie 5K will be offered a full refund or an alternative race registration.

“We will work with Publix to build on the event’s strong heritage,” said Rich Kenah, the Track Club’s executive director.

Financial details of the deal were not released.
