With rain forecast for race day, Atlanta Motor Speedway officials announced an hour earlier start time for Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

The scheduled drop of the green flag is now 1 p.m., as opposed to the original 2 p.m. start time.

That subsequently moves up the scheduled start time for all the pre-race events. Gates will open now at 9 a.m., with the Chris Janson pre-race concert beginning at 11 a.m. and driver introductions at 12:20 p.m.

Kyle Busch won the pole for Sunday’s race – his first-ever pole in his 20th race at Atlanta. Ryan Newman joins him on the front row. Georgia native Chase Elliott will start 27th in the 36-car field.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors.
