Kicker Elliott Fry, who tried out Tuesday, was signed to the Falcons’ practice squad Friday.

The team also moved outside linebacker George Obinna from the practice squad to injured reserve.

Fry, who played at South Carolina and spent time with the Bears, Ravens, Panthers and Bucs, was with the Falcons last season.

He spent the final 12 weeks of the 2020 season on the practice squad and appeared in one game as a standard practice-squad elevation. He was 1-of-1 on field-goal attempts and 1-of-2 on extra-point tries at Green Bay in Week 4.

The Falcons held tryouts with long snapper Beau Brinkley (Missouri), long snapper Brian Khoury (Carnegie Mellon) and punters Simon Laryea (Abilene Christian), Colton Schmidt (California Davis) and Brandon Wright (Georgia State).
