Running back Qadree Ollison, who was released by the Falcons on Friday, was re-signed to the practice squad Tuesday.

The Falcons released offensive lineman Sam Jones to make room for Ollison.

The Falcons signed running back Wayne Gallman on Friday because he can help on special teams.

“It’s obviously not the end of the road for Qadree, but Wayne was a guy we thought we wanted to bring in here and maybe he could add something for us out of the backfield and more importantly on fourth down,” Falcons coach Arthur Smith said Monday. “So that was a big part of it.”

Ollison didn’t play on any of the Falcons’ special-teams units.

Ollison, a fifth-round pick in 2019, showed promise as a short-yardage back in his rookie season.
