MIAMI – Jason Spriggs, a former second-round pick by the Packers, started at right tackle for Kaleb McGary, and played all 64 offensive snaps (100%) in the 30-28 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
“I thought Spriggs did a great job for us,” Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said. “Coming in, stepping up. He plays extremely hard. He played well. Our guys, I love our guys, they fight. They play hard. They work hard together. They prepare really well during the week.”
The line gave up one sack — on a safety blitz — and just six quarterback hits.
The running backs had 19 carries for 72 yards, just enough to keep the Dolphins’ defense honest.
Also, defensive end James Vaughters played 15 of 73 defensive snaps (21%), cornerback Chris Williamson played 24 defensive snaps (33%) and 13 on special teams (46%).
Linebacker Daren Bates played 14 special teams snaps (50%) and had two assisted tackles.
