MIAMI — With injuries to their top three cornerbacks, the Falcons signed cornerback Luther Kirk to the practice squad on Monday, Falcons coach Arthur Smith said.

The Falcons also released cornerback T.J. Green and kicker Elliott Fry. Green could be headed to the practice squad.

Cornerbacks A.J. Terrell (checked for concussion, later left with neck injury), and Fabian Moreau (neck) were injured in the 30-28 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. Safety Erik Harris (shoulder) also did not finish the game.

Also, cornerback Avery Williams (hamstring) missed his second consecutive game.

“We’ve move a lot of guys in and out and that’s helped us on the practice squad,” Smith said. “We feel pretty good about the health and where we are going. Hopefully, we get Avery Williams back. We should. He’s trending in the right direction. We feel good about everybody else.”

“We’ll know tomorrow when we see the doctor,” Falcons coach Arthur Smith said after the game when asked about the announced injuries.

Kirk, 6-foot-2 and 195-pound, has been with the Vikings since 2020.

Kirk, who played at Illinois State, was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys following the 2020 NFL draft and spent Weeks 3-17 of last season as a member of the Minnesota Vikings practice squad.
